Gather your supplies (If you want to paint your geode, do it before you grow your geode crystals, using acrylic paint) it will be easier to handle.
You will need...
- A flat stable surface and a towel
- Boiling hot water (distilled works best)
- Measuring cup
- Measuring teaspoon
- Awesome Geode™ crystal growing kit
Start the process (Parents help young children)
- Boil Water (distilled water works best)
- Fill your measuring cup with boiling hot water to preheat for 1 miniute
- Pour boiling water into the geode shell and preheat for 1 miniute
- Pour the hot water out of the measuring cup and geode shell
- Scoop 4 to 5 teaspoons of crystal powder into the measuring cup and add fresh boiling water to the 1/4 cup level. (distilled water works best)
- Stir the solution until the powder completely dissolves

BE PATIENT...
- Keep your geode on a stable surface using the provided display stand in a room temperature place between 70 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit
- Crystals will soon begin forming and will continue to grow to full size (over night is fun for kids)
- Dump the solution out after 8 hrs. to reveal the crystals
- Crystals are hard to see until the solution is removed
- The Geode will glow brighter as the crystals fully dry
NOTE: (cooling slowly forms larger crystals)
